How We Handle Your Data (In Simple Terms)
Your Photos Stay On Your Device
When you scan an artifact, the photo is processed right on your phone or tablet. It is not uploaded to our servers or the cloud unless you specifically ask us to.
AI Analysis is Done Securely
For recognized scripts, we send only the text of the script (not the photo) to our secure AI for a translation attempt. No personal information is ever sent.
Asking Experts Requires Your Permission
The only time a photo leaves your device is when you use the "Ask an Expert" feature. We require a parent or coach's email and explicit consent before we send the photo and any notes you've added to our expert network. We do this to help you learn more, and we want to be sure you're okay with it first!
We Don't Track You
This app is designed for learning and presentation. We do not use tracking cookies or collect analytics about how you use the app. Your discoveries are your own. The settings you save (like Team Name) are stored only in your browser's local storage.
